Tanker Mechanic

$17 - $20/hr
We have an immediate opening available in North Charleston, SC for technicians who will be working primarily on Tanker Trailers. Those with experience working on tanks and who have HM 183 Cargo Tank Inspection and Testing Certification will be given preference. Those without Tank Experience who are willing to learn and take on a new challenge are also encouraged to apply.
This role requires welding as well as mechanical repairs on trailers including brakes, tire work, and electrical. This is a day shift role with long-term job stability and advancement opportunities.
Responsibility
- Replace tanker valves, gaskets, gauges to ensure proper functionality, repair brakes, and perform electrical repairs.
- Weld and fabricate materials.
- Inspect and adjust parts/components.
- Maintaining work orders.
- Perform DOT inspections.
Requirement:
- Must have your own tools.
- Comfortable wearing a respirator.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Compensation
- $17.00 – 20.00/hourly, wage range varies based on experience, certification and qualification.
- Benefits package available after 90 days and includes Medical, Dental, Vision, LTD & STD, 401k, 9 paid holiday and vacation.
Shifts
Days, 7:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday.
