Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic

We are looking for Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanics to join our team in Monroe, NC. In this role you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on various heavy equipment, including Street Sweepers, Vacuum Trucks, and Refuse equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical repairs, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting, and PDIs on a variety of heavy equipment.
• Efficiently communicate with the Service Writer and Parts team for optimal workflow.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks and inspections.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area, shop tools, and service van.

Requirements:

• Heavy Duty Equipment or Transport Mechanic qualification.
• 2+ years of experience as a Certified Mechanic preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
• CDL license preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Proficient in hydraulic and/or electrical work.
• Exposure to Street Sweepers, Vacuum Trucks, or Refuse equipment considered an asset.
• Ability to work efficiently under tight timelines in a busy environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely and independently.
• A team player with a positive attitude, willing to assist others when required.
• Availability for daily road calls as needed to address customer needs.
