Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

We are looking for experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanics to maintain a fleet of commercial trucks and equipment in our Layton, Utah facility. This is a shop position repairing both trucks and heavy equipment, the successful technician will have previous experience repairing class 7/8 trucks and earthmoving equipment.

• Perform all repairs including engine repairs and overhauls.
• Locate and diagnose failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, specifications, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.
• Maintain work orders and other documentation.
• Perform annual inspections.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

• Should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic performing in-depth repairs.
• Able to troubleshoot/diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic systems.

• Able to perform repairs and rebuilds on major component
• Must have your own basic set of tools.

All technicians will subject to a pre-employment drug screen.
